On March 31, 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed Ms. Amani Kajunju, Country Director of Peace Corps Thailand, for a courtesy call on the occasion of the new appointment of Director-General. Ms. Suthanya Sukpaisarn, Executive and Communications Assistant of Peace Corps Thailand, and relevant TICA officials were present at the meeting.

Both sides exchanged insights information and best practices in volunteer management, in particular focus on enhancing the capacity and impact of the “Friends from Thailand (FFT)” volunteer program. The Director-General expressed gratitude to the Peace Corps Thailand for inviting TICA to observe the training of Peace Corps trainees in Don Chedi Subdistrict, Suphanburi Province. These trainees (batch 136) were Sworn-In as Peace Corps Volunteers last week and will be in service under the Youth in Development (YinD) program and the Teacher Empowerment for Student Success (TESS) program. The Director-General also appreciated Peace Corps for supporting volunteers in participating in various activities organized by TICA such as the "TICA Outreach" throughout this year and the upcoming 10th TICA Connect which will be held on 28th August 2025 at Siam Paragon. These engagements will foster and bond a spirit of volunteerism among Thai youth and the wider community.

On this occasion, to support the advancement of volunteer initiatives in Thailand and as part of a close partnership for more than 6th decades between TICA and Peace Corps, the Director-General of TICA presented the 2025 annual contribution to Peace Corps Thailand. This contribution aims to maximize the impact of volunteer activities for the benefit of Thai youth and communities.
