On 19 December 2025, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Mr. Soukhasavanh Sanaphay, Deputy Director General of the Department of Asia-Pacific and Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, co-chaired a meeting to review the implementation of projects under the Second Three-Year Thailand–Lao PDR Development Cooperation Programme (2023–2025). The meeting also served as a preparatory session for the formulation of the Third Three-Year Development Cooperation Programme (2026–2028).

More than 40 representatives from Ministries concerned of the Lao PDR were attended.

The meeting reviewed the progress and outcomes of project implementation and exchanged views and recommendations for the Third Three-Year Thailand–Lao PDR Development Cooperation Programme. The meeting aimed to ensure that the forthcoming development programme aligns with the development needs, priorities and can deliver maximum benefits to the peoples of both countries.
