On 23 June 2023, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) met with Mr. Eric Arndt, Director, Asia Region and Ms. Busaba Tejagupta, Director of Grants and Grant Operation Management of the Rockefeller Foundation, Asia Regional Office. The meeting was a follow-up of the meetings between Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of TICA with Ms. Natalye Paquin, Chief Operating Officer on 18^th May 2023 at TICA (Link) and with Ms. Elizabeth Yee, Executive Vice President of Programs, Program Strategy on 1^st June 2023 at Rockefeller Foundation’s Headquaters in New York (Link). Both sides discussed on how to initiate significant cooperation between TICA and Rockefeller Foundation. 

Both sides discussed in detail how TICA and the Rockefeller can collaborate more closely following the direction given by the executive of both sides. Both sides exchanged ideas on activities and projects for the second half of 2023 and next year to commemorate the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of the Rockefeller Foundation in Thailand in 2024. Examples included, the publication of the Rockefeller’s work in Thailand, trilateral cooperation projects in climate change and impacts on health or sustainable agricultures, or the application of the the outcome of research studies supported by the Rockefeller Foundation in the past. In addition, TICA suggested the Foundation to organize an informative session to Thai relevant agencies about the new focus of the Foundation that will gear towards climate change. The purpose of this is to provide information to relevant agenices so that they can properly apply for grants provided by the Rockefeller Foundation.

Deputy Director-General Arunee also invited the Rockefeller Foundation to join and showcase its works at the 8th TICA Connect which will be held on 24 August 2023 at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
