On 13 March 2024, Mr. Wattanawit Gajaseni, Deputy Director-General, Acting Director-General, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), led the Thai delegation, comprising TICA officials, the representative of Royal Thai Embassy, Phnom Penh and volunteers from Friends From Thailand (FFT) to visit other Thai language teaching institution, which is Preah Sihanouk Raja Buddhist University, Battambang Branch (SBUBB), Battambang Provinces, Cambodia, and were warmly welcomed by Ven. Vy Sovechea, Rector of SBUBB, along with Vice Rector and SBUBB’s staffs.

SBUBB is a non-profit public Buddhist university that offers Bachelor's and Master’s Degree programs, as well as language teaching in Thai and English, to the general public without payment. The university has more than 1,000 undergraduate students. During the meeting, the SBUBB Rector humbly made the request for the provision of Thai textbooks for SBUBB’s library, which would benefit students and individuals interested in learning the Thai language.

Furthermore, the Thai delegation took the opportunity to survey the accommodation and its facilities to assess the well-being of two FFT volunteers, serving as Thai language teaching assistants at the National University of Battambang.
