On 18 January 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency, welcomed H.E. Mr. Alex Geiger Soffia, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile, to the Kingdom of Thailand, and Ms. Rosario Arando, Third Secretary at the Reception Room, Thailand International Cooperation Agency. Mr. Cheevindh Nathalang, Deputy Director-General of TICA and Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division also attended.

Both sides discussed development cooperation partnership between Thailand and Chile including Workshop on Chilean Quinoa in Thailand for the ASEAN Member States under the trilateral cooperation, Study visit on Quinoa, the Meeting between TICA and AGCID to draft the 3-year Development Cooperation Programme 2022-2024, and the 2nd Technical Cooperation Meeting which will be hosted by TICA. Both sides also discussed the special activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
