Director-General of TICA Welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Thailand on a Courtesy Call

On 17 July 2026,  Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed H.E. Mr. Claudio Ricardo Gutiérrez, Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call on the occasion of assuming his duties. Mr. Javier De Cicco, Deputy Head of Mission, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division, Lt. Gunpirom Vichathorn, Minister Counsellor, and relevant officials also attended at the Reception Room, TICA office.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on development cooperation between Thailand and Argentina. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the establishment of the Thailand–Argentina Three-Year Development Cooperation Programme (2025–2027), which serves as the framework for bilateral development cooperation. He also welcomed the ongoing implementation of joint projects in various fields, including agriculture and forensic science. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting the continued exchange of experts and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The Director-General also expressed TICA's readiness to host the 6th Thailand–Argentina Technical Cooperation Meeting in 2027, which is an important platform to review the progress of ongoing cooperation, exchange knowledge and experiences, and identify future directions for strengthening development cooperation between Thailand and Argentina.
