On April 5, 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand, along with Ms. Charlotte Helminger, Counsellor, on the occasion of Ambassador Hemmer’s courtesy call upon his recent assumption of duty in Thailand. Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division was also present at the meeting. Both sides exchanged views and information regarding Thailand’s and Luxembourg's policy and priorities on international development cooperation, and also discussed the progress of TICA-LuxDev trilateral cooperation under the Letter of Understanding (LoU) between TICA and LuxDev on Human Resource Development Cooperation for Lao PDR during 2021 - 2025, especially in the areas of public health, technical and vocational training (TVET), tourism, agriculture and forestry, and rural development, as well as opportunities to expand the trilateral cooperation in the future, possibly through the exsiting bilateral projects with Lao PDR or under the ACMECS framework especially the third Pillar, ‘Smart and Sustainable ACMECS’.
