On 20 - 21 March 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) visited the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA-Bangkok) training site for the International Post Blast Investigation: Session 33 under Thailand - USA Cooperation at the Law Enforcement Tactical Training Center, Naresuan Camp, Cha-am District, Petchaburi Province. Director-General Ureerat were welcomed by Mr. Andrew B. Cunney, Program Director, ILEA Bangkok along with experts and trainers, who led TICA’s delegation to visit the location of both theoretical training and field practice where post blast scene were simulated to allow the trainees to practice post blast investigation skill in a realistic setting.

On this occasion, TICA and ILEA Bangkok discuss ways forward for cooperation to best support operations of ILEA Bangkok, and possible cooperation on training on the prevention and suppression of transnational crime and human trafficking especially for Thai agencies, and those from neighbouring countries along Thailand’s border to support TICA’s Project on Lao-Thai Friendship Social Development Centre in Lao PDR and the Establishment of Transit and Reception Center for Victims of Trafficking and Other Vulnerable Groups (TRC) in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey Province of Cambodia. Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division and TICA’s staff also joined the visit.
