On 25 January 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) had a meeting with Mr. Serkan Kayalar, President of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) at TIKA’s office, Ankara. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Director of Promotion and Coordination Division of TICA, Mr. Samet Kapısız, Chief of Cabinet to President, and Mr. Egemen Efe, Asisstant to TİKA President, were also present at the meeting.

The DG of TICA and the President of TİKA had a cordial discussion and exchanged views and experiences relating to international development cooperation. Both sides noted their common commitment in promoting the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and people-centered development. They agreed to have further discussion for the concrete collaboration.

In addition, the DG of TICA and the President of TİKA will sign the Memorandum of Understanding on Development Cooperation between TICA and TİKA during the 4th Thai-Turkish Joint Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation (JETC) on 26 January 2023. H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and H.E. Mr. Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology of Türkiye, will witness the signing. The MOU between TICA and TİKA will extend Thailand’s development partners to the European region, as well as enhance the visibility of Thailand's role in South-South and Triangular collaboration in the international forum.
