On 13 December 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Jose Antonio Gonzalez Norris, Executive Director, Peruvian International Cooperation Agency (APCI) during the 3rd High-Level Meeting (HLM) of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) (2022 Effective Development Co-operation Summit) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Both sides discussed existing development cooperation including the activities during the COVID-19 over the past years and how to further strengthen the collaborations within the framework of the 3-Year Development Programme in key sectors including tourism, agriculture, and gastronomy. The Thai side looks forward to hosting the technical consultations between Thailand and Peru in 2023.

In addition, the Thai side congratulated Peru on assuming the presidency of the Pacific Alliance (PA), and would further enhance development cooperation with Peru through training programs in such area as soil management for the PA member countries.
