On 15 September 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of  Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), joined the ITEC Day celebration at Marriott Marquis Queen's Park Hotel. The event was hosted by the Indian Embassy in Thailand to commemorate the establishment of the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.

The Director-General of TICA was invited as Chief Guest and delivered congratulaory remarks on this occasion. She also held talks with H.E. Mr. Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of India to Thailand, about the possibility to expand development cooperation between the two countries at both bilateral and trilateral levels.Both sides agreed to discuss the idea in further detail for tangible collaboration.

Every year, the Indian government provides ITEC scholarships for 180-200 courses to Thailand through TICA.
