On 19 March 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), chaired the 5th Thailand–Peru Working Group on Technical Cooperation via videoconference at TICA. Mr. Pablo Cisneros, Acting Executive Director of the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI), co-chaired the Meeting on behalf of the Peruvian side.

The Meeting was also attended by H.E. Ms. Cecilia Zunilda Galarreta Bazán, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Kingdom of Thailand, as well as representatives from relevant agencies of both sides. The Thai side comprised the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, the Ministry of Public Health, Mae Fah Luang University, the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), and the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (BEDO).

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the successful outcomes of the past Thailand-Peru development cooperation programme and endorsed the direction of cooperation under the next three-year Thailand–Peru Development Cooperation Programme (2026–2028).

The Programme covers five areas of cooperation, namely Alternative Development, Public Health, Science and Technology, Environment, and International Development Cooperation. Peru will host the 6th Working Group on Technical Cooperation in 2028 in Lima, Peru.
