This year, ten Thai volunteers will be dispatched to different areas in Bhutan for one year to work under Thailand’s development cooperation project and also to perform their duties at the Bhutanese agencies upon requests in specific capacities and positions.

The ten volunteers comprise (1) Ms. Kantika Joomanee as Community and Tourism Developer (2) Mr. Tharid Wisankid as Community and Tourism Developer (3) Mr. Phalakrit Karahong as Community and Tourism Developer (4) Ms. Supatra Saenram as Community and Tourism Developer (5) Ms. Apisara Bumrungjit as Community and Tourism Developer (6) Ms. Voranuch Lomsoonthorn as Dairy technologist (7) Ms. Waralee Jaijong as Audio Visual Trainer (8) Ms. Rungtiwa Khamngam as Dairy/Food Microbiologist (9) Mr. Nattawat Sirawattanachai as Information Technology Communication Officer and (10) Mr. Sawas Rehduan as Community and Tourism Developer.

Realizing the growing importance of south-south cooperation, Friends from Thailand (FFT) Programme was launched by TICA more than 15 years ago, as part of Thailand’s efforts to strengthen the impact of development cooperation and enhance mutual understanding with partner countries, while giving technical advice to local communities in areas most needed. The FFT Programme also expands opportunities for the Thai public, particularly the young generation, to take part in Thailand’s growing development cooperation.
