On 31 August 2020, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of Thailand presided over the Global Compact Network Thailand’s (GCNT) Forum “Thailand Business Leadership for SDGs 2020,” held to commemorate the 20th year anniversary of the GCNT’s establishment and the 75th year anniversary of the founding of the United Nations at the ESCAP Hall, United Nations Conference Center (UNCC). Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Director-General of TICA and other related officers also attended the forum and participated in organizing an exhibition on TICA’s work in undertaking development cooperation projects under the SEP for SDGs Partnership.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister visited the TICA’s exhibition and was briefed by the Director-General of TICA on TICA’s accomplishment in fostering partnerships with several international partners for sustainable development and the fulfilment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP). The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of TICA’s work at home and abroad in promoting the SEP as a way forward towards the SDGs and as Thailand’s and His Majesty the late King’s gift to the world.
