On 28 May 2024 at 13.45 hrs., Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Director of Devawongse Varopakarn Institute of Foreign Affairs (DVIFA), gave welcome addresses to 9 Cambodian participants who join the training course on “Diplomatic Knowledge and Development Diplomacy for Newly Recruited Diplomats from Cambodia”. The Minister emphasized the cordial and long-standing relations between Cambodia and Thailand, which elevated to “Strategic Partnership” this year. On this occasion, Mr. Hokmeng Heng, Director of the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR), the Cambodian representative expressed his gratitude to TICA and DVIFA for welcoming and giving the participants the opportunity to join the course.
 
During the training, the participants will be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of beneficial topics for newly-recruited diplomats such as diplomatic protocol, consular affairs, and development diplomacy. Besides, the participants will also have opportunities to visit Khao Hin Sorn Royal Development Study Center in Chachoengsao Province, Kreuawan agricultural village which is sufficiency economy model village and Wongpanit Suvarnabhumi Recycle Station Co., Ltd.. The participants are expected to exchange knowledge, develop friendships, and build networks between officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries throughout the training.
 
This training course is a collaboration under the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the DVIFA of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and the NIDIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, which is organized by the DVIFA and TICA during 28 - 31 May 2024
