During 10 - 12 September 2023, Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) attended the 12th Joint Meeting between the Viet Nam - Thailand Friendship Association and the Thailand - Viet Nam Friendship Association in Da Nang, Vietnam

In this occasion, Lt. Sorawud urged private sector from both sides to support and expand the fruitful success of TICA’s on-going projects in Vietnam such as Project on Community based on the Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) in Thái Nguyên and Bến Tre province, Project on Thai garden and SEP exhibition at University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Thủ Đức campus, Project on teaching of Thai language in Vietnam and Project on artificial reef in Cà Mau province.  He  These projects can promote the economic recovery together with creating a network between Thailand and Vietnam through human resource development.

In addition, both associations visited the Thai Language Department of Da Nang University which is one of four Vietnamese universities that TICA once supported their capacity building under the Teaching of the Thai Language Project.  Both private and public sectors have been fostering students’ Thai language skill development through providing scholarships and internship programs and also offering a job opportunity for the graduated students.
