On 27 November 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) had a meeting with Ms. Siti Nugraha Mauludiah, Director-General of Information and Public Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. She was pleased to meet Director-General of Information and Public Diplomacy, Indonesia, at the 5th Asia-Pacific Directors-General Forum for South-South and Triangular Cooperation in Bangkok, and also congratulated to the success of Indonesia's active role in co-hosting the 6th Development Leaders Conference on 24-24 October 2023 in Oslo, Norway. The Indonesian side invited Director-General of TICA to attend the the 7th Development Leaders Conference that will be held in Bali in June 2024.

Director-General of TICA seeked the possibility of reviving the mechanism for bilateral development cooperation which has been suspended for more than 10 years since 2011, in order to strengthen relations in various dimensions in a comprehensive manner and continue cooperation for development on the basis of equal partnership. Both sides saw mutual benefits in working towards sustainable development under the existing development cooperation mechanisms and trilateral cooperation to provide assistance in capacity building and human resource development for third country especially ASEAN and Timor-Leste. Areas of cooperation responding to the needs of the recipient country and matching with both sides’ potential were discussed, such as public health, especially maternal and child health, community development, and agriculture.

TICA will host the 4th Technical Cooperation Meeting in 2024, to keep the momentum between Thailand and the Indonesia, and both sides will coordinate to schedule the meeting date and venue in Thailand.
