Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, hosted the International Training Course: “Maximizing Impacts of One Health Operationalization: From Concept to Implementation” conducted by the School of Global Health (SGH), Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, the hybrid program was delivered in online from 9 - 13 March 2026 and on-site at SGH in Bangkok, Thailand from 23–27 March 2026.

On 23 March 2026, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, jointly presided over the opening ceremony at the School of Global Health with Assoc. Prof. Jiruth Sriratanaban, MD. PhD., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. The ceremony were joined by Prof. Suttipong Wacharasindhu, MD., Executive Committee of SGH and Dr. Thanawat Tiensin, Assistant Director-General of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (Rome based), all of whom delivered opening remarks to the 30 paticipants from 11 participating countries: Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, Timor-Leste and Thailand.

This training course was empowered participants to translate One Health concepts into effective strategic action. By addressing complex health challenges through diverse disciplines, stakeholders and cross-sectoral collaboration, the program emphasizes systematic thinking, good governance, and proactive policy advocacy. Participants could develop country-specific projects with dedicated support from SGH and its global partners, ensuring successful implementation and fostering a sustainable international experts network.
