On 14 May 2025, Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), led the delegation from African countries participating in the Thailand Development Forum for Africa, organized from 11 to 16 May 2025, to meet with Dr. Pornpimol Mahamad, Director of the Halal Science Center, Chulalongkorn University.

On this occasion, the delegation and researchers at the Center exchanged views on the use of technology to detect contamination prohibited by Islamic principles with the goal of building trust and confidence among Muslim consumers. They also discussed ways and means to promote Thailand's export of Halal food products to African countries and a more strengthening Thai-African cooperation on Halal food and the training courses, provided by the Center.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha to experience the elegance of Thai culture and arts.
