On 10 May 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director - General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency, along with Mrs. Alexandra Diaz, South – South Cooperation Directorate, Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to Peru, and Mrs. Ana Maria Prieto Abad, Ambassador of Colombia to Thailand, gave the opening remarks for virtual training on Sustainable Alternative Livelihood Development (SALD).

This training is part of the 3-year Development Cooperation Programme between Thailand and Colombia. It provided a forum for sharing Thailand's long experience and best practices in designing, developing and implementing alternative development programmes. Participants learned to analyze the cost-benefit of an alternative programme, identify stakeholders and launch the programme. It was also an opportunity for professionals and practitioners to share knowledge and discuss the efficacy of various mechanisms.
