Partnership with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
The cooperation between Thailand and UNDP is based on a mutually beneficial partnership. Thailand is an indispensable link in the UNDP global development network, allowing UNDP to assist other countries using the knowledge and development experience of Thailand. Partnership projects are as follows:
1) The trilateral cooperation between Thailand, Bangladesh, and UNDP on community development through a training course and a study visit focusing on OTOP (One Tambon One Product) and community development.
2) Sharing of Thailand’s best practices and lessons learned prepared by TICA, UNDP and Kenan Institute in the selected development sectors that illustrate Thailand’s expertise over diverse development areas to its development partnership.
3) Developing the model case study of the South-South cooperation on community-based poverty reduction to be used as an experience-sharing document of Thailand which is to be presented at the High-Level Meeting on South-South and Triangular Cooperation under the topic ‘Effective Partnership towards Innovative Development Solutions’ arranged by the Special Unit for South-South Cooperation (SU/SCC)/ UNDP in Rome, Italy.
