On 3rd October 2014 at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Nitivadee Manikul, Deputy Director-General of TICA, chaired the briefing and discussion on the official development assistance of China after participating in a seminar organized by Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), Ministry of Commerce of China, held 5-25 September 2014 at Beijing. Mr. Newin Sinsiri, President of Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Agency (NEDA) and representatives from Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Department of East Asian Affairs, Office of Policy and Planning, and TICA, were presented and exchanged views and observations regarding China’s official development assistance to other developing countries.
During the discussion, Deputy Director-General shared some observations regarding the political and economic impact of China on its current ODA policy and implementation, the role of China’s ODA on global development agenda, and future approach in China’s ODA.
