The United Nations Volunteers Programme (UNV) under theme “Partnerships Forum - Innovation in Volunteer Action” organized by UNV in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) from 30 September to 1 October 2014 in Bonn, Germany. The forum brought together UNV’s partners from United Nations (UN) member states, UN entities, development partners, volunteer involving organizations and regional organizations.
On this occasion, Ms. Angsana Sihapitak, Deputy Director-General of TICA, along with Mrs. Sasitorn Wongweerachotkit, Director of International Organizations Partnership Branch (Multilateral), and staff concerned attended this forum. The objective of this forum is to have an open stage for participants to share ideas, exchange knowledge and experiences on innovative ways to support volunteering for sustainable peace and development in countries, regional and international level, especially, for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Currently, there are over 6,000 UN volunteers working under various agencies of United Nations (UN) located in developing countries in every region of the world, and more than 10,000 online volunteers’ registration.
