On 6^th October 2014, Ms. Suchada Thaibunthao, Director-General of TICA, along with Ms. Nitivadee Manitkul, Deputy Director-General, Director of Countries Partnership Branch (Bilateral and Trilateral) and officials concerned, welcomed the evaluation team led by Prof. Kaoru HAYASHI, Bunkyo University, International Development Center of Japan Incorporated (IDCJ) assigned by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) to conduct the independent evaluation study of Japanese assistances provided to Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS). The team discussed with Director-General on this issue and received suggestions for improving the policy formulation and implementing of Japanese’s aid activities to GMS in the future. The discussion was also related to the accordance between effectiveness of outcomes and the appropriateness of Japanese assistances to Thailand and GMS countries both in the past and the present on the policy level, as well as the importance and diplomatic impact of assistance.
