Director-General of TICA delivered a briefing on “SEP for SDGs Partnership” to media representatives from ASEAN Dialogue Partners

         On 20 March 2018, Mrs. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, delivered a briefing on “SEP for SDGs Partnership” to media representatives from ASEAN Dialogue Partners, at Sampran Riverside Hotel, Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand.
 
          Director-General of TICA shared how TICA has implemented Thailand’s policy on “SEP for SDGs Partnership” to promote its global partnership by sharing knowledge of SEP and its application as Thailand’s development approach for sustainable development.  
 
          She pointed out that SEP is a practical and universal approach to achieve SDGs and in line with Thai Government’s vision “Stability, Prosperity and Sustainability FOR ALL”. 
 
          In 2018, TICA has implemented 2 types of SEP-based development projects which are 1) the SEP learning centres and 2) SEP model villages in 20 partner countries across the regions. There are 8 more future partner countries interested to cooperate with TICA in those kinds of SEP projects.
 
          The briefing was one of the activities the Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, invited 13 media representatives from Australia, Canada, European Union, New Zealand, Russia, United States of America and India to Thailand in order to promote proper understanding of Thai Government’s policies and its strategic development projects before Thailand taking the post of ASEAN Chairmanship in 2019.
