On 29 August 2025, Mrs. Chachsaran Lertkiattiwong, Director of International Development Cooperation Division, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), attended the closing ceremony of the Intensive Short-term Thai Language Training Course for Vietnamese students from University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh, University of Foreign Language Studies, University of Danang, University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University in Hanoi, and the University of Hanoi. On this occasion, she delivered a congratulatory speech and presented certificates to all 24 graduates of the program, together with Dr. Narinthorn Sombatnan Behr, Associate Dean for Administration and Academic Services, Srinakharinwirot University, who co-chaired the certificate presentation ceremony and delivered the closing remarks.
In addition, Mr. Sorat Sukthavorn, Assistant Secretary-General of the Thailand Foundation, presented awards to the winner of Thailand Foundation TikTok Contest, as part of the language training course. The event was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supak Mahavarakorn, Program Chair, faculty members, staff of the Faculty of Humanities, representatives of the Thailand Foundation, and officers from the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).
The program was organized by the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University, from 3 - 31 August 2025, with the objective of enhancing knowledge and practical experience in the use of Thai language. It also aimed to create career opportunities, support the Thai private sector in Vietnam, as well as strengthen the relationship between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam through cultural language (Thailand’s Soft Power). There were study visits, including the Laem Phak Bia Environmental Research and Development Project, the Chang Hua Man Royal Initiative Project, Wat Phra Kaew, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, and Ayutthaya Historical Park.
