The delegation also included representatives from the Royal Project Foundation, the Highland Research and Development Institute (Public Organization), the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, relevant educational institutions, and officials from the International Development Cooperation Division.

The purpose of this official visit was 1) to monitor and evaluate the implementation of various development cooperation projects between Thailand’s Royal Project Foundation and Bhutan’s Royal Project, such as landscaping at Dechencholing, ornamental plant cultivation at Nyzerkha, highland herbal cultivation at Changkhaphu, vocational skill development for youth under the De-suung Skilling Programme, and sturgeon farming at Hara Chhu, and 2) to explore potential areas of future cooperation that would contribute to the development of both countries.

On this occasion, the Thai delegation shared and exchanged knowledge and best practices in sustainable agricultural development guided by the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy with relevant Bhutanese officials from both central and regional levels. This was conducted through a technical seminar held on 16 October 2025, attended by the Permanent SecretarySecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bhutan and senior executives from the Bhutan Royal Project.

Moreover, both sides agreed that the cooperation had been implemented in line with the established action plan resulting in Bhutanese capacity building. It will then be extended through the community and national levels, both parties will jointly develop follow-up projects building upon existing initiatives, as well as new projects responding to local economic needs, such as coffee cultivation and production in Tsirang. In addition, cooperation will continue with projects related to landscape development and the enhancement of living conditions under the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) project.
