On 3 December 2025, Mrs. Arunee Heim, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), led delegates from the 7th Asia-Pacific Directors General Forum for South-South and Triangular Cooperation on a study visit to Baan Mankong Project (Pracharuamjai 1 Community), one of Thailand’s exemplary models for inclusive social development.

During the visit, the delegation received a briefing from representatives of Baan Mankong Project on its core concepts and implementation processes, which place community empowerment at the heart of development. The delegation also learned about the community’s history and development journey from the President of Pracharuamjai 1 Community. Following the briefing, the delegates visited the community, including residential areas, activity spaces, and public areas, to gain first-hand insights into the participatory development process that has contributed to sustainable improvements in
the community’s quality of life. The delegation observed concrete results of Thailand’s community-driven development model, which could be adapted to further advance
South-South and Triangular Cooperation across the region.
