On 4 December 2025, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), served as the Moderator for a Side Event organized by TICA under the theme “Emerging Donors: Advancing South-South and Triangular Cooperation through the Sharing of Experiences and Best Practices.” The event took place during the 7^th Asia-Pacific Directors General Forum for South-South and Triangular Cooperation, co-hosted by TICA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), from 2 to 4 December 2025 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok.

On this occasion, the Deputy Director-General shared Thailand’s experiences in implementing development cooperation, particularly in the aspects of South-South and Triangular Cooperation, and reflected on key challenges that emerging donors need to address together. Representatives from various countries across regions, including Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Colombia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Fiji, also participated in the exchange of views and experiences. This exchange provided as a valuable platform for countries to draw on shared insights and apply them to advance South-South and Triangular Cooperation more effectively and sustainably at both regional and global levels.
