On 15 July 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), delivered the opening remarks at the second workshop on addressing loss and damage in the context of decisions 2/CP.27 and 2/CMA.4 at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok. In her remarks, Mrs. Chareontoh emphasized the efforts of Thailand and the role of Thailand’s International Development Cooperation in collaborating with international partners to combat climate change and its impact so as to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 13.

 

The second workshop on addressing loss and damage in the context of decisions 2/CP.27 and 2/CMA.4 is one of the meetings related to climate change that is co-hosted by TICA, Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) during 15-23 July 2023 in Bangkok.
