On 10 July 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) met with Dr. Aung Moe Chae, Deputy Director-General of Foreign Economic Relations Department (FERD), Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of Myanmar during the First High-level Meeting of Forum on Global Action for Shared Development.

 

Both sides discussed the implementation of Thailand – Myanmar three-year Development Cooperation Programme (2020-2025) and future cooperation. Deputy Director-General of FERD conveyed Myanmar’s appreciation for Thailand’s long-standing and continued support for development cooperation between the two countries. Director-General of TICA underlined the importance of Human Resource Development as part of an effort for the implementation of Thailand – Myanmar Development Cooperation Programme and also invited the Myanmar side to submit applications for various long-term scholarship and short-term training courses organised by Thailand in Sub-regional frameworks, especially ACMECS scholarship programme.
