On 11 April 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimbœuf, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Thailand, along with representatives from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), during a courtesy call to congratulate the Director-General’s assumption of duty.

Both sides exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation such as air quality improvement, climate change adaptation, blue economy for sustainable use of marine resources, and other environmental issues. Both sides also expressed readiness to jointly develop the next 3-Year Development Cooperation Work Plan between TICA and AFD, which will serve as an important mechanism to advance the Thailand–France Strategic Partnership at the bilateral, trilateral, and regional levels, particularly in the Mekong sub-region and Southeast Asia.

Both sides also welcomed the growing momentum of Thailand–France development cooperation, under the current 3-Year Work Plan (2023–2025) between TICA and AFD.
