On 18 May 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, made a contribution in the amount of 10,000,000 Baht to Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of Mekong Institute (MI), to support MI’s operation in the year 2023.

On this occasion, Director-General of TICA held a discussion with Executive Director of MI, along with Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, on advancing trilateral and regional cooperation in Agriculture and Public Health, with the aims to promote sustainable development of Mekong sub-region.

In addition, Executive Director of MI invited Director-General of TICA to attend the MI Governing Board Meeting 1/2023 as well as Mekong Forum 2023 during 26 – 30 July 2023 in Yunnan, PRC.
