On 22 March 2022, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, handed over, on behalf of the Royal Thai Government, the extended and renovated Emergency Services Department at Poipet Referral Hospital and an ambulance for Mongkon Buri Hospital, to Dr. Chhum Vannarith, Under Secretary of State, Cambodian Ministry of Health. The handover ceremony was held at Poipet Referral Hospital, Banteay Meanchey Province, Kingdom of Cambodia.

Implemented by the Health Administration Division, Office of Permanent Secreatry, Ministry of Public Health and Sa Kaeo Provincial Health Office, the extension and renovation of the Emergency Services Department at Poipet Referral Hospital is part of activities under the Thai - Cambodian Development Cooperation Programme in Health Sector, Phrase 2 (2022 – 2024). Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Chawwanate Yimprasert, Deputy Governor of Sa Kaeo Province, Mr. Prak Poly, Deputy Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, Dr. Itthipon Udtamapanya, Deputy Chief of Sa Kaeo Provincial Health Office and Dr. Le Chansangvat Chief of Banteay Meanchey Provincial Health Office.

The Royal Thai Government also provided one Manually Flipping Bed with Doctor N medigel Mattress and N-Dro care mouth sprays, supported by Krungthep Kuruphan Vejchaphan and Lilly Pharma, respectively. The Manually Flipping Bed is an innovative patient bed developed by Thai researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University, and funded by Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI). The donation reflected coordinated efforts between the Thai public and private sectors under Public Private Partnership for the People (PPPP).
