On 12 June 2026, Mrs. Chachsaran Lertkiattiwong, Director of International Development Cooperation Division, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), participated in the closing ceremony and certificate presentation for participants of the training programme “Development of Nursing Administration and Quality Improvement for Nursing Outcomes” at Boromarajonnani College of Nursing (BCN) Phra-Phutthabat, Saraburi Province. Assistant Professor Dr. Soontharee Khampeng, Director of BCN Phra-Phutthabat, and Dr. Sarawut Sritan, Deputy Director for Administration and Strategy, also attended the ceremony.
The training programme was organized by BCN Phra-Phutthabat from 1-12 June 2026 under the Thailand-Myanmar Development Cooperation Programme in the field of public health. The programme brought together 30 nurses and midwives from Myanmar and aimed to strengthen their capacities in nursing administration, quality improvement in nursing services, and midwifery. Through both theoretical and practical learning activities, as well as study visits to Thailand’s healthcare service system, the programme promoted the exchange of knowledge and experience while supporting the development of healthcare services and the improvement of patient care in Myanmar.
The project reflects TICA’s role in promoting development cooperation in public health with neighbouring countries, particularly in strengthening Myanmar’s human resources for health through knowledge transfer and capacity building. Such efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare services, strengthening the healthcare system, and improving the quality of life of the people in a sustainable manner, while also fostering closer professional networks among healthcare personnel of the two countries.
