The Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency welcomed the Head of Development Cooperation Section for Asia and the Pacific from the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok to discuss opportunities for development cooperation between the two countries.

On 30 June 2026, Ms. Arunee Heim, Deputy Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), met with Ms. Anna Maria Oltorp, Head of Development Cooperation Section for Asia and the Pacific from the Swedish Embassy in Thailand, and Mr. Lars Svensson, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at Midsummer Siam Co., Ltd., to discuss opportunities for cooperation between Thailand and Sweden at TICA.

Both sides exchanged views on initiatives to address the impacts of climate change in the areas of forest management and renewable energy, as well as the participation of local organizations and the private sector in development cooperation.

On this occasion, both sides agreed on opportunities for cooperation in these two areas. The Swedish side will present a draft concept paper to TICA for further consideration and develop into a project.
