On April 22, 2025, representing the Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division, attended the Colombo Plan Asia-Pacific Youth Forum 2025 Opening Ceremony at the International Narcotics Control College in Chiang Rai.

During the Ceremony, Director Chidchanok welcomed over 35 youth leaders from 18 Colombo Plan member countries namely Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam with a keynote address at the forum, which TICA, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board of Thailand, and the Colombo Plan co-organized for the Asia-Pacific region to foster collaboration in drug control.

She also presented TICA's role in advancing international development cooperation for the SDGs and highlighted impactful collaborations with the Colombo Plan, including TICA's training programs for member countries in 2025 in the areas of agriculture and climate change,  and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP).

Founded in 1951, the Colombo Plan is an intergovernmental organization based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, that works to advance economic and social development across the Asia-Pacific. Thailand has been a member since 1954, and the Colombo Plan now consists of 28 member nations.
