On 24 November 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), welcomed H.E. Mr. Sisavath Inphachanh, on the occasion of new appointment of Ambassador of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Thailand. Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA along with Mrs. Chachsaran Lertkiattiwong, Director of International Development Cooperation Division, also attended at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides confirmed their support to Thailand - Lao PDR development cooperation undertaking under the Three-year Development Cooperation Programme between Thailand and Lao PDR as well as activities actualized to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Lao PDR.  These may include Projects for an Establishment of the Thai-Lao Friendship Social Center, an Establishment of Learning Center for Sustainable Agricultural Development based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) at Khwaeng Bolikhamsai Technical-Vocational School, and deliverables identified under Thailand - Lao PDR development cooperation to mark an opening ceremony of the Fifth Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge linking Bueng Kan Province and Khwaeng Bolikhamsai , which will be held on 25 December 2025.

Ambassador of Lao PDR expressed his gratitude to the Royal Thai Government and TICA for continuing support to Lao Government through providing development cooperation for over 35 years, which has had a significant impact on the sustainable development of Lao PDR.
