On Monday 15 th January 2024, Miss Unchaleeporn Prisawong, a volunteer under Friends from Thailand programme, was appointed a tourism coordinator of Hokuto in Yamanashi Prefecture. Hokuto City Mayor Mr. Kamimura Eiji presided over the event, which was also attended by Mrs. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim and relevant officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, representatives from JICA, representatives from the Japan Tourism Agency, and media from NHK and local media.
