On 10 October 2022, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Ms. Sora Kwon, Volunteer Program Manager of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Thailand Office, jointly presided over the Korea Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (KOV) Handover Ceremony held at TICA’s Meeting Room 4, Government Complex.

At the ceremony, two KOVs were handed over to the Thai partners.  They will serve in the field of Korean Language Education for two years at Udonthani Vocational College under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission and at Suranaree University of Technology under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.  

With the arrival of the two KOVs, KOICA has resumed the activity of the Korea Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (KOV) Program in Thailand after it was suspended for more than two years following the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020.
