On 7 August 2026, Ms. Piyavan Rakpanich, Development Cooperation Officer (Professional Level), Development Promotion and Coordination Division, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, briefed on “Overview of Thailand’s Development Cooperation and Thailand–Vietnam Development Cooperation” to the Vietnamese students who came from four Vietnamese universities to attend an intensive short-term Thai language training course  in Thailand.  Their universities are University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; University of Foreign Language Studies, the University of Danang; University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and Hanoi University.

The briefing highlighted Thailand’s role as a development partner, with a focus on human resource development, knowledge exchange, and people-to-people relations.  The activity was organized by TICA under the 2026Intensive Short-Term Thai Language Training Programme for Vietnamese Students, in collaboration with Srinakharinwirot University, and formed a part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Thailand–Vietnam diplomatic relations.
