On 16 September 2024, Ms. Pin Sridurongkatum, Secretary of the Department, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), attended the opening ceremony of the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) on “Emergency Medical Technician Instructors Training Course Regional Training for Pre-Hospital Emergency Care in CLMV” at the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM).

This training course has been organized by the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). There are 22 participants from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

On this occasion, Secretary of the Department also gave an opening remarks together with Ms. Yuki KITAGAWA, JICA Thailand Office Senior Representative, and Flt. Lt. Atchariya Pangma, Secretary-General, NIEM. The Secretary of the Department stated that the purpose of this course was to accelerate the development and enhance the capacity of the Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) in CLMV countries. She also emphasized that EMTs play the leading role in the healthcare system.
