On 12 June 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Professor Piyamitr Sritara, MD, FRCP, President of Mahidol University, jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the MFA – MU Enhancing Thailand Capacity Building Hub Project Between TICA and Mahidol University. Witnessed by executive and staff members of both sides, the signing ceremony took place at Reception Room 5, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangkok.
This MoU extends the first MoU covering cooperation framework between 2021 – 2024 for an additional three years starting from the signing date on 12 June 2025, to enhance knowledge sharing and capacity building for medical and health science personnel in Thailand and the developing countries in areas including health sciences, science and technology, and humanities and social sciences through exchange of knowledge and experience from experts of Mahidol University and the countries with advanced technology.
This MoU also extends the scope of cooperation to Trilateral cooperation supporting TICA’s strategic partner countries, including Lao PDR, Cambodia, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Bhutan, Nepal, and countries in the South Pacific region. This initiative is in line with Thailand's medical diplomacy and reinforces Thailand's role in advancing sustainable development within the international community.
