On May 12, 2025, Lieutenant Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to TICA, led the African delegation participating in the Thailand Development Forum for Africa on a study visit in Chonburi Province. The delegation attended a comprehensive lecture on Thailand's Universal Health Coverage (UHC) system and collaboration between public health agencies, local governments, and academic institutions in community health promotion at the Faculty of Public Health, Burapha University.

Most of delegates expressed significant interest and requested detailed information, particularly regarding the financing management and sustainability of Thailand's universal health coverage.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Ban Roi Sao in the Takhian Tia Community, a model community showcasing value-added coconut products and community-based tourism development. Delegates actively participated in the community's cultural activities, learning traditional Lam Tad rhythms and engaging in hands-on workshops, including tote bag painting with natural flower dyes, painting coconut shell trays, and crafting traditional Thai decorative mobiles. The visit concluded with delegates sampling locally-produced specialties including coconut coffee, sugarcane coffee, and Khanom Thuai-Thai coconut milk custard, providing firsthand experience of the community’s initiative.
