On March 11, 2024, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) hosted the TICA Partnership Workshop and TICA Scholarship Awardees Networking 2024 at Asawin Grand Convention Hotel. Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to TICA, presided over the event and delivered opening remarks to welcome 85 participants, including TICA scholarship awardees and representatives from partner educational institutions in Bangkok and Metropolitan Area. This event aimed to strengthen partnerships between TICA and partner universities/ institutions and enhance TICA’s engagement with its scholarship awardees.

During the workshop, TICA officials and the representatives from partner institutions exchanged views, observations and experiences regarding the selection process, academic and other necessary support for TICA scholarship awardees. The feedback and suggestions arising from the discussion will serve as input to improve the guidelines for the administration and management of TICA scholarships. Meanwhile, the participating awardees had the opportunity to get to know their peers better and improve interpersonal skills through team-building activities. They also enjoyed and had a hands-on experience in the traditional Thai art of aromatic candle and essential oil making by creating their own items and took them back home as unique and personalized souvenirs from the event.
