On 5 February 2025, Mr. Grisada Phakakarn, Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Mr. Ryoichi KAWABE, Senior Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Thailand Office, jointly presided over the Handover Ceremony of nine (9) Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs) held at TICA, Government Complex.

 

At the ceremony, the JOCVs were handed over to (1) Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation; (2) Ministry of Public Health; (3) Ministry of Social Development and Human Security; (4) Office of the Basic Education Commission; and (5) Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (Public Organization).

 

The JOCVs in the ceremony will work for 1 - 2 years, in these 7 fields which will expand knowledge and skill for Thai officer and youth, and also promote people-to-people connectivity:

(1) Welfare and Education for Persons with Disabilities, at Petchburi Panyanukul School,

(2) Information Communication Technology, at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chonburi,

(3) Japanese Language Education, at Udon Pittayanukoon School and Loei Rajabhat University,

(4) Public Health, at Khun Tan Hospital and Yardfon Center for Empowerment and vocational Development for Persons with Disabilities,

(5) Caring for The Elderly, at Surat Thani Hospital,

(6) Youth Activities, at Nonthaphoom Home for Protection and Development for Persons with Disabilities,

(7) Tourism, at Loei Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration.
