On 10 June 2026, Mr. Grisada Phakakarn, Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Ms. Nakayama Kaori, Volunteer Coordinator of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Thailand Office, jointly presided over the Handover Ceremony of a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer (JOCV), Ms. Nakaya Juri, who will serve in the fields of Community Development for a period of two years at Don Kaew Town Municipality, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, under the Department of Local Administration, Ministry of Interior. Her assignment is expected to enhance the knowledge and skills of local Thai officers and communities such as strengthening communities, promoting environmental sustainability and community health etc. ,while further strengthening people-to-people connectivity between Thailand and Japan.
