On 17 November 2025, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-Genaral of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), joined Mr. KAWABE Ryoichi, Senior Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand Office, and Vithaya Punmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operations) of Mass Rapid Authority of Thailand, presided over the opening ceremony of Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) on MRTA Experience Sharing on Urban Rail Development, Operation and Maintenance and delivered opening remarks to welcome the training course participants at The Emerald Hotel Bangkok.

The training course is scheduled during 17 – 25 November 2025, having 18 participants from Bangladesh (3), Egypt (1), Indonesia (4), the Philippines (3), Vietnam (3), and Thailand (4).

In this occasion, DDG. Arunee highlighted the importance of South-South and Triangular Cooperation through the inclusive and sustainable development of urban rail transit systems that are efficient and accessible as a public service. This will lead to the enhancement of people's quality of life and environmentally friendly transportation.
