On 19 March 2024, Mr. Wattanawit Gajaseni, Deputy Director-General, Acting Director-General, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) co-chaired TICA-JICA Annual Meeting for Technical Cooperation JFY 2025 with Ms. KITAGAWA Yuki, Senior Representative and Mr. KAWABE Ryoichi, Senior Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Thailand Office. Ms. Charintip Yosthasan, Director of International Development Cooperation Division and Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division including TICA and JICA officers also attended the meeting.

The meeting emphasized the importance of the meeting as a framework of cooperation where TICA and JICA can discuss the future direction of TICA-JICA cooperation during the Fiscal Year 2025 and review its development policy. Furthermore, the meeting noted the progress of the Needs Survey for Technical Cooperation under Japan Fiscal Year 2025. Both sides expressed its readiness to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the projects.

The meeting stressed the importance of the trilateral and regional cooperation framework to emphasize Thailand's role as Japan's key development partner through various forms of cooperation, such as Third Country Training Program (TCTP).
