On 27 July 2026, Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division, chaired a meeting with representatives of the Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation (AGCID) via videoconference at Meeting Room 5, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). The meeting was attended by Lt. Gunpirom Vichathorn, Minister Counsellor, together with relevant officials from TICA, AGCID, Latin America Division, Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, and the Embassy of the Republic of Chile in Thailand.

Both sides discussed the proposed Workshop on Strategic and Financial Intelligence, an activity under the draft Thailand–Chile Development Cooperation Programme (2026–2028). Under the proposed initiative, AGCID will dispatch Chilean experts to Thailand to share knowledge and exchange experiences with the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) in Thailand. The workshop is tentatively scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2026.

TICA also confirmed its readiness to host the Second Meeting of the Thailand–Chile Technical Cooperation Programme (TCTCP) in 2026 via videoconference.  The meeting will be co-chaired by the Director-General of TICA and the Director-General of AGCID.
